Risa Hayakwa is a Japanese jewellery practice working with fine silver beads as a way of thinking about form, time, and accumulation. Rings, bracelets, and necklaces are built bead by bead, allowing the pieces to remain light, open, and in quiet motion rather than fixed or solid.
Into these silver structures, the maker introduces antique beads collected in the Czech Republic, fragments from another place and another time. These elements do not interrupt the work, but soften it, bringing small irregularities, traces of history, and a sense of slowness into the otherwise precise language of the jewellery.
The result is not so much ornament as a gentle composition: contemporary craft in conversation with memory, travel, and touch, jewellery as something lived with, rather than simply worn.
