HORISAKI is a Swedish–Japanese brand creating handcrafted, sculptural hats that merge artisanal millinery with a distinctly weathered, timeworn aesthetic. Founded by Makoto and Karin Horisaki, the studio is based in the Swedish countryside, where each piece is individually shaped, burned, and treated by hand, resulting in a raw yet refined presence.
Drawing from traditional millinery techniques, natural processes, and the philosophy of wabi-sabi, HORISAKI treats hat-making as a form of wearable sculpture. Materials are transformed through touch, heat, and time, allowing each piece to carry subtle irregularities and quiet individuality.
The result is a body of work that sits between craft and art object—distinct, tactile, and deeply atmospheric. HORISAKI hats have gained recognition within the fashion world for their uncompromising approach, becoming favoured by avant-garde designers, stylists, and collectors who value restraint, texture, and authenticity.
